The official opening of the IV international documentary film festival on human rights “Beer Duino - Kyrgyzstan - 2010” was on 21 of September 2010 in the hall of Historical museum Bishkek c. In the festival’s program was organized and held competition of national and international films.
Official guests at the opening of the festival were minister of Culture of Kyrgyzstan Sadik Sher – Niyaz, international expert Igor Blazevic, national and international film directors who were specially invited by organizers for participate at the festival, and also were invited representative of local and international NGO.
Festival was opened by film of Iran dir. Hana. M. “Green days” story which mirrored the current situation in Kyrgyzstan.
After film’s screening was furshet, where all participants could exchange views and meet with foreign directors.
Five days documentary film festival on human rights was holding every day from 21 till 25 of September according festival’s program.
The main contingent of festival was youth aged 15 – 25 years.
Daily films screening was divided in three sessions, that was very easy for organizers to hold discussion after every screening. The youth very actively taking part at discussions.
The most liked films by spectators were from national competition “The way to the star” and from international competition “The wish to come back home”.
According questionnaire these films have got more votes Audience awards in Bishkek.
Like any other event festival of documentary has some problems too, on the 4 day of festival’s screening when as to be held showing the film “10 conditions of love” by D. Daniels the organizers were pressured by representative GSNB they demand not to screen this film, as so as this requirement was presented only in oral form, and wasn’t any specific justification in writing. Human rights defenders from human rights center CAC could solve this incident and film “10 condition of love” was screening.
The total number of spectators in Bishkek during 5 days was 2290.
